The 4th edition of technical seminar FPTS 2019 was organized by FPSI at Gulmohar Hall, BIEC, Bengaluru on 18th &19th June.
Dr. Udayant Malhoutra, CEO & MD Dynamatic Technologies was the Chief guest and delivered the addressed the gathering on Latest trends in fluid power technology.He Also emphasized the Make in India concept adopted by Dynamatic. He established strong entrepreneur and leadership thoughts covering the achievement and key products of Dynamatic to Aerospace/defense industry.
Dr. Medhat Khalil, Director, Professional Education, Milwaukee School of Engineering, was the guest of honor and delivered the keynote address on FPTS Theme “Future Trends in Fluid Power Technology”. He addressed all sides of Fluid power staring from Components, Systems, Validation and application of fluid power.
Mr. Hemanth Kumar, President of the Fluid Power Society of India gave an account of the growth of the Society over last four decades and how it fulfils the objective of disseminating fluid power knowledge. He also indicated that world over, the 19th of June is celebrated as Fluid Power Professionals Day, as it is the birth day of Blaise Pascal, known as the father of fluid power through Pascal’s law. He also gave brief of the events happening across the world and series of events planned during and after 2-day seminar.
Curtain raiser was given by Mr. Srinivas Guttikar, Member, Technical Committee. The theme of FPTS as it says will talk about “Future trends of Fluid Power Technology”. Also, it is chance renew contacts and discuss problems of mutual interest with Keynote Speaker, Authors and delegates from different companies and different parts of world.
First session was with “Smart Hydraulics System”. The papers exhibited high quality content attracting all the attendees with future trends in smart hydraulicsfromBosch Rexroth, Parker Hannifin, Manuli hydraulics and Walvoil Fluid power India.
The Future trends continued to 2nd session in the day-1 afternoon with “Fluid power applications” as topic from L&T construction, miniBooster, Eaton, BEML and Neilsoft. Day-2 Session:3, started on “Hydraulic System Design” where keynote from Renishaw Metrology introduces new technology and application of 3D printing for hydraulic manifold.
Continued session had many new technologies for hydraulic system design from ExxonMobil, Wipro Infrastructure, BEML Ltd. and Argo-Hytos.
Day-2 Last session is very interesting where “Validation and Reliability” explained with reference to many new tools and technologies from Dynamatic Technologies, Famic technologies, Siemens, IIT Madras and Tata Power SED.
